How to Access OWIS Tsukuba 🚌 🚗

1. School Bus 🚌: We have two dedicated routes covering major stations.
Route A: Tsuchiura Station → Tsukuba Station → Amakubo 3 chome → OWIS Tsukuba
Route B: Midorino Station → Banpakukinen Koen Station → Kenkyugakuen Station → Gakuen no Mori 3 Chome → OWIS Tsukuba
*One-way use is also available.

2. Drop-off & Pick-up by Car (For Parents) 🚗: The school gate is open during the following times, allowing you to drop off and pick up your children within the school grounds.
⏰ Morning: 8:10 am – 8:30 am
⏰ Afternoon: 3:40 pm – 4:00 pm

Alternatively, you can reach the school by city bus or taxi from the nearest station, Tsukuba Station.

OWISつくばへのアクセス方法 🚌 🚗

1. スクールバス🚌 ：主要駅をカバーする2つの専用ルートがあります。

※片道のみの利用も可能です。

1️⃣ Kindergarten Transition Programme
For children who have finished kindergarten in the Japanese school year and are joining our international programme.

What it offers:
Gentle bridge between systems: From April to August, children join our Transition class in a nurturing, inquiry-based environment.
Strong foundations: Up to 4 extra months of learning to build confidence in English, early literacy, numeracy, and routines.
Ready for the new school year: Students are well-prepared to move into Primary School for our August-start academic year.
(Example: A child who completes kindergarten in April joins our Transition class, then moves into Grade 1 in August)

2️⃣ English Immersion Transition Programme (Primary and above)
For students moving from a Japanese school or new to learning in English.
*This programme is available any term of the year

What it offers:
Intensive English support: English development through meaningful topics such as maths, science, and classroom inquiry ✏️🗣️
Confidence-building: Practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing for independent learning.
Smooth integration: Students feel confident, included, and ready to participate fully.

2️⃣ 学校移行支援英語プログラム（小学生以上）：日本の学校から転入される生徒さんや、英語での学習が初めてという生徒さんを対象としています
※このプログラムは年中通して受講いただけます

Eligible Government Subsidies at OWIS Tsukuba 💰

We are a registered provider under the Japanese Government`s `Free Childcare and Child Education Subsidy.` A straightforward application is all that is required to substantially lower the cost of your child`s education.

[Estimated Subsidy Payments]
✔️ Children aged 0-2: A maximum of 42,000 yen per month (OWIS provides education for students aged 3-18)
✔️ Children aged 3-5: A maximum of 37,000 yen per month

[A Simple Guide to Your Application]
1. What is required?
You will need to apply for a `Certification of the Need for Childcare’ from the municipal office. (Each ward office might have a slightly different name for the certificate).

2. Where do I submit the application?
Your application can be submitted at your local municipal office where your family is registered.

3. When is the deadline? [⚠️Important]
Application deadlines differ between local authorities. We strongly advise checking your municipality`s website and beginning your application as soon as possible.
