Head of School’s Welcome Message To New Members Of The OWIS Osaka Community
Dear Families and Friends of OWIS Osaka,
Welcome to One World International School Osaka.
At OWIS Osaka, we believe education should do more than inform; it should inspire. Our school is built on the conviction that children thrive when they are known, challenged, supported, and given meaningful opportunities to develop both agency and purpose.
In every classroom, across our campus, and through the many experiences that shape school life, we work to create an environment where learning is purposeful, relationships are strong, and students are encouraged to become confident, compassionate, curious, and capable individuals.
OWIS Osaka is a growing international school with a strong sense of identity and an equally strong sense of direction. We value academic excellence, creativity, international mindedness, wellbeing, and the development of character. Just as importantly, we believe that education is most powerful when students are active participants in their own learning and understand that what they do can have meaning beyond themselves.
Our community is diverse by nature and connected by purpose. Students, families, teachers, and staff bring different experiences, cultures, languages, and perspectives to our school, and those differences enrich who we are. We see belonging not simply as something students receive, but as something we build together.
As Founding Head of School, I am deeply proud of the community that continues to take shape at OWIS Osaka. We are a school that values inquiry, aspiration, kindness, and forward momentum. We are also a school that believes deeply in partnership with families, because the strongest outcomes for children emerge when school and home work together with trust, clarity, and shared purpose.
Whether you are already part of our community or are discovering OWIS Osaka for the first time, I hope you gain a sense of the energy, warmth, and ambition that define our school.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Warm regards,

GREG CULOS
