During this week students were a part of different activities that deepened their connection with our planet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here is what they did:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Explored the working of &#8211; &#8216;Three Rs&#8217;: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Labeled trash cans &#8211; A simple yet profound act, making recycling an integral part of daily life.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Took conscious actions towards eco-friendliness through plastic-free lunch boxes and the choice of locally sourced, fresh vegetables, reducing their carbon footprint.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marine pollution, a global concern, is met head-on as OWIS students learned about the harmful effects of marine pollution<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9971 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/owis.org\/sa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/09\/story-img2-300x163.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"490\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The transformation towards sustainability is not a solitary journey. With the guidance of dedicated educators, students at OWIS are encouraged to plant more trees, both outdoors and indoors, fostering a deep love for nature.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As renowned broadcaster and natural historian Mr. David Attenborough once said, &#8220;The truth is, every one of us, no matter who we are or where we live, can and must play a part in restoring nature.&#8221; OWIS embodies this sentiment.
