OWIS is looking at appointing an HR Manager / Senior HR Manager who will be responsible for aligning human resource strategies with the goals of the company. This person would serve as a consultant to the management on HR-related issues for OWIS campuses in Singapore. The role holder will play a crucial role in promoting a positive work environment and supporting the success of the organisation through effective HR practices.
Overall Responsibilities
- Lead HR activities within the country for all OWIS campuses
- Supervise, develop and provide guidance to the country HR team for all campuses
- Manage stakeholders regarding all aspects of the HR function – talent attraction and selection, onboarding, performance management and rewards, talent management and learning, employee engagement, off-boarding and regulatory laws of
Singapore, etc. - Manage operations to hit performance metrics for the HR team in all campuses
- Oversee and ensure timely processing of payroll for all employees
- Advise the Heads of School and Country Director on HR matters for all campuses
- Oversee all work pass applications, ensure renewals and cancellations are done on time and guide business stakeholders on MOM guidelines and changes
- Implement initiatives, action plans, procedures, policies, and processes in the country and ensure alignment with the organisation
- Drive corporate engagements surveys in the campuses
- Conduct regular engagement activities in the campuses
- Oversee and manage the rewards programme for employees
- Manage the performance management process in the campuses and support the Corporate HR in the organisation-wide performance management process
- Monitor and ensure appraisals are completed in accordance to the timelines
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to all stakeholders and management
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the country’s legal requirements relating to the day-to-day management of employees
- Ensure compliance with statutory matters, such as application for employment passes, renewal of work permits, etc.
- Work closely with the recruiting teams and hiring manager, sharing forecasting needs and role requirements
- Supervise the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees in the campuses
- Work closely with the Training team, encouraging uptake of training and identifying training needs in the campuses
- Address complex employee queries relating to HR
- Maintain networks and relationships with internal and external partners at the working level to keep abreast of the current industry climate and macroeconomic trends
- Collaborate proactively with Recruitment team to continuously increase competency within the team to meet future organisations needs through the development and recruitment of talent
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree; Preferable MBA in Human Resource Management
Experience:
- 12-15 years of experience in HR
- Experience in managing a team
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced and diverse environment
