The industry recognition has been especially important as it comes at a time when the world was in lockdown period due to Covid-19. The school rose to the challenge and won the awards, showcasing its unique approach to education and its dedication to ensuring that quality education continues despite challenges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first award for\u00a0 \u201cInnovation in Global Collaboration Learning\u201d was bestowed at the World Education Awards 2020, part of the 17th <\/span>World Education Summit (WES)<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The WES Awards honour individuals, educational institutions, and ed-tech firms that have transformed teaching and learning outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

OWIS\u2019 student-centered learning approach and innovative use of technology set the school apart in the contention for this award. The school was also recognised for the academic, social and emotional benefits that accrue to students as a result of learning in a multicultural environment comprising peers from over 70 nationalities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later in January 2021, OWIS was declared a Gold category winner at the APQO Innovation Class Awards (AIC) organised by <\/span>Asia Pacific Quality Organisation<\/span><\/a> (APQO). This award recognises innovativeness in organisations as an essential factor for their continued success. OWIS was awarded the AIC 2020 – Gold award due to its effective leadership, curriculum practices, professional training for staff, and parent and student engagement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The accolades continued for the school with a third award announced in February 2021. OWIS was named the \u201cBest Co-educational Day Boarding School\u201d<\/span> and also received the \u201cAward for Excellence in International Curriculum Practices\u201d at the Singapore Business Awards. The awards honour local businesses in Singapore and recognise their exceptional initiatives. Both award nods for OWIS acknowledge the robustness of the school curriculum and the kindness-driven philosophy, which supports diversity and inclusion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
