You will need to complete the school\u2019s medication documents. You will need to list the type and severity of the allergy, symptoms of an allergic reaction and necessary allergy prescriptions or over-the-counter medications.<\/p>\n<p data-w-id=\"9c84613b-1bbc-0d3b-0ff3-8ac469654418\" data-wf-id=\"[&quot;9c84613b-1bbc-0d3b-0ff3-8ac469654418&quot;]\" data-automation-id=\"dyn-item-post-body-input\">Any prescription and over-the-counter medication, including an EpiPen, inhaler or antihistamines, are handed to the school nurse, and you will also need to provide instructions for when the medicine is to be administered.<\/p>\n<p data-w-id=\"3ed0dbe0-5bfe-4341-43eb-d9fb0bca5e60\" data-wf-id=\"[&quot;3ed0dbe0-5bfe-4341-43eb-d9fb0bca5e60&quot;]\" data-automation-id=\"dyn-item-post-body-input\">A prescription letter must be provided if your child requires an EpiPen, inhaler or other prescription allergy medication. This letter has to be provided by a Singapore registered medical doctor.<\/p>\n<p data-w-id=\"041404b0-e659-3eab-ab76-3347e2a1183e\" data-wf-id=\"[&quot;041404b0-e659-3eab-ab76-3347e2a1183e&quot;]\" data-automation-id=\"dyn-item-post-body-input\">We take every precaution to prevent allergic reactions and we have a trained registered nurse on the school premises from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The nurse maintains a list of students with serious allergies and an action plan for the management of each child\u2019s allergic reactions.<\/p>\n<p data-w-id=\"0d0914d2-547e-6378-f9f3-24f9dd75774a\" data-wf-id=\"[&quot;0d0914d2-547e-6378-f9f3-24f9dd75774a&quot;]\" data-automation-id=\"dyn-item-post-body-input\">If your child does have an allergic reaction, the nurse will immediately check your child\u2019s symptoms, review his\/her medical records and administer the necessary medicine. If your child\u2019s symptoms subside after he or she takes the medications, you will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p data-w-id=\"fec8a593-99e6-beaa-95df-b4aa3888e2b8\" data-wf-id=\"[&quot;fec8a593-99e6-beaa-95df-b4aa3888e2b8&quot;]\" data-automation-id=\"dyn-item-post-body-input\">Depending on the severity of symptoms and your child\u2019s allergy history, the nurse may call an ambulance immediately after administering the medication.
