By focusing on skill development through guided teaching, inquiry-based learning gives students more autonomy and allows them to personalise their learning experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are four distinct approaches to inquiry-based learning, which include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Confirmation Inquiry \u2014 This inquiry-led learning approach involves providing students with a question and a related answer, as well as a strategy they can use to reach that answer. They are responsible for relying on their critical thinking skills to understand the connection between the question and the answer.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open Inquiry \u2014 In this approach, teachers provide an open-ended question and then give the students the freedom to generate conclusions and test possible solutions.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Structured Inquiry \u2014 With this approach, students receive an open-ended question as well as a specific investigation method.
