concepts through hands-on activities.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>Our students thoroughly enjoyed the story &#8216;The Alphabet Tree&#8217; by Leo Lionni. During an outdoor walk around the school, they eagerly discovered letters from various perspectives. Using natural materials they had collaboratively gathered, the class formed the letters of their names. While some students chose to create just the initial letter, others took on the challenge of crafting their entire name.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>In another exploration of the world of storytelling, our little preschoolers learned to create origami. Not only did this provide an opportunity to enhance fine motor skills through the art of paper folding \u2014 an essential skill for daily life \u2014 but they also discovered how to use this art form to convey narratives.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div>At OWIS Nanyang, our Early Childhood educators believe that hands-on learning, such as the art of origami, has many benefits:<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><ul><li>It fosters active engagement, exploration, and critical thinking.<\/li><li>Through sensory-rich activities, young children develop fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of concepts by directly interacting with their environment.<\/li><li>Practical experiences, such as playing with paper, building, or
