This reflects our commitment to sustainability as a long-term initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><b> Green Mark Gold Certification<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> evaluates how sustainable a building is. Achieving Gold means our campus meets high standards in areas such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Energy efficiency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> through intelligent building design, natural lighting where possible, and efficient air-conditioning systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Water conservation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with fittings designed to reduce water waste.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Healthy indoor environments<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, offering good ventilation, abundant natural light, and safe spaces for students and staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Sustainable construction and materials<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, including eco-friendly design and long-lasting components.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Acknowledging the award, Mr. James Morris, Head of School at OWIS Digital campus in Punggol, said, \u201cThis widely recognised award endorses the commitment of our Digital Campus to fulfilling our Sustainable Development Goals.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our commitment to sustainability goes further by using renewable energy sources and sustainable design. Up to 15% of our energy needs are met by solar panels, while the building\u2019s terracotta fa\u00e7ade tiles act as natural heat insulators, reducing air-conditioning energy use inside the building by 25%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Smart design and living green spaces also enhance the campus experience. Learning areas across our Digital campus maximise natural illumination, creating bright, welcoming classrooms while conserving energy. There are also 3 massive living green walls indoors that improve the air quality inside the building and create a calming, nature-like environment for students and staff alike.
