The American Curriculum
The American curriculum emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, and innovation and offers core subjects such as English, Math, Science, social studies, and the arts. It encompasses co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, with standardized assessments to track progress. Upon completing grade 12, the learners secure a High School Diploma recognized by U.S. universities. The curriculum also includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which allow students to earn college credits.
The British Curriculum
The British Curriculum or National Curriculum for England emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and flexibility. It evaluates students’ progress through regular benchmarking to ensure their preparedness for IGCSE and A level qualifications. The curriculum offers core subjects such as maths, science, and literature, along with the arts and humanities, segregated into “Key Stages.” Each Key Stage gets completed with tests, giving clarity on student progress.
