PYP Teachers
Start Date: August 1, 2022
Responsible for teaching students in line with the PYP methodology and educating them according to the guidelines provided by the school.
Overall Responsibilities
To teach and educate students according to the guidelines provided by the school’s curricular program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To teach across the whole age range, including PYP, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma
- Design, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with PYP learning methodology.
- Assess and monitor the progress of learners and set goals for improvement, including writing students’ reports and attending meetings with parents.
- Liaise with the PYP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Manage clear and precise parent interaction.
- Take up extra-curricular activities. Be a part of school events, assemblies, staff training, meetings, etc.
- Promote the health and safety of assigned classes.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years or more relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher with prior experience of teaching PYP (a must).
- Be a passionate educator with the ability to deliver inquiry-based learning.
- Must have strong knowledge and experience of the PYP curriculum.
- Experience in an international school environment (preferred).
Early Childhood Teachers
Start Date: August 1, 2022
Responsible for teaching in line with PYP learning methodology and according to the guidelines provided by the school’s curricular program.
Overall Responsibilities
To include the below but not limited to:
- Teach across the whole age range of 3- 7-year-olds.
- Design, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with PYP learning methodology.
- Assess and monitor the progress of learners and set goals for improvement.
- Â Liaise with the Senior Early Childhood Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Manage clear and precise parent interaction. Take up extra-curricular activities.
- Be part of school events, assemblies, staff training, meetings, etc.
- Promote the health and safety of assigned classes.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years or more relevant full-time teaching experience as a qualified teacher with prior experience of teaching PYP. (Qualified teacher status is a must).
- Be a passionate educator with the ability to deliver inquiry-based learning.
- Must be familiar with the PYP curriculum.
- Experience in an international school environment (preferred).
Admissions Executive
Start Date: July 1, 2022
This role will be responsible for ensuring the student enrollment goals of the school through virtual and face-to-face counseling are met.
Overall Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the below:
- Inquiry Management – quick and appropriate response to inbound inquiries via our website, emails, telephone, zoom calls, and walk-ins.Â
- Timely and proactive follow-up of all leads to convert them into engaged prospects and, finally, long-term customers.Â
- Being highly responsive and proactive in all customer-facing tasks.Â
- Making sure that all potential customers are delighted with their experience of OWIS regardless of whether they enroll their children or not.Â
- CRM (HubSpot) management – manage all communications & lead management processes on HubSpot.Â
- Working with the finance team, marketing team, academic team, operations team, and all other relevant internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the admissions department.Â
- Any other ad hoc responsibility assigned by the reporting manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.Â
- Minimum two (2)Â years experience in a sales or business development role.Â
- Experience in admissions for K-12 international schools is preferred.Â
- A master’s degree is preferred but not required.Â
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with an international team
- Detail-oriented
- Proactive sales skills
- Meticulous, organized, and possess good administrative skills
Receptionist
Start Date: May 18, 2023
Contribute to the provision of quality services by providing administrative support for a team of professionals, in accordance with the organization’s office routines and procedures.
Overall Responsibilities
- Manages incoming and outgoing mails, parcels, messages, fax and phone calls and ensures that the relevant personnel receives them
- Attends to queries from walk-in visitors, students, staff and vendors
- Prepares and issues car park labels and visitor passes
- Manage record books such as those relating to rental/ booking of school facilities and ensure room keys are accounted for
- Updates internal phone list, staff room seating plans, locker plans etc.
- Manages loss and found items
- Ensures neat and clean reception and lobby area
- Provides administrative support and documentation filing
- Oversees Administrative Assistant in the ordering of supplies (printing paper, stationery, newspapers etc.) and ensures constant supply of materials for use
- Assists students in administration-related matters (e.g. collection of Examination Certificates, use of sick bay, issuance of Student Identification Passes, issue combination locks, etc.)
- Communicates and coordinates with internal departments
- Liaises with School Attendant to ensure the sufficient supply of refreshments for pantries
- Covers the duties of the administrative assistant and personal assistant in their absence. Attend ad-hoc task as assigned by superiors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or relevant work experience
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills (English and Arabic)
