Academic Scholarship Program

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship program is open to new students applying to Grades 9 and 10 who are pursuing the American High School Diploma.

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong academic performance across English, Mathematics, Science, and Geography
  • High achievement in OWIS diagnostic assessments
  • Strong communication skills, motivation, and academic ambition
  • Evidence of enrichment activities, leadership, competitions, or achievements beyond the classroom

Please note: This program is a new-student initiative and is not open to existing OWIS Riyadh students, who continue to be recognized through the Principal’s Honor Roll and other established programs.

How Are Scholarships Assessed?

Every applicant is assessed holistically across several components, and 75% of that evaluation is carried out directly by OWIS.

What Documents Are Required?

To apply for an OWIS Riyadh academic scholarship, families should prepare the following:

  • Report cards from the previous two years
  • Two teacher recommendation forms
  • OWIS diagnostic test results
  • A student motivation essay (300–400 words)
  • Academic competition certificates (optional but encouraged)
