The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP): Fostering Inquiry (Nursery to Grade 5)

The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum is designed for young learners and focuses on developing curiosity and foundational skills. 

In the PYP programme, students dive deeper into inquiry-based learning across six transdisciplinary themes. They explore subjects such as language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, and personal/social education.

The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) – Connecting Learning to the Real World (Grades 6 – 10)

Students between the ages of 11 and 16 are served by the middle years program, which normally covers grades 6 through 10. This program pushes students to connect their academic knowledge with real-world applications.

Eight subject groups make up the curriculum framework, which gives early adolescents a well-rounded education.

Key Learning Areas – 

  • Aims to develop intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills.

The IB Diploma Programme (DP): Preparing for University and Beyond (Grades 11 and 12)

Students in grades 11 and 12 who are 16 to 19 years old can enrol in the two-year, comprehensive, and balanced IB Diploma program. Universities all over the world acknowledge it for its emphasis on creating well-rounded people and rigorous academic standards. 

Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), and the Extended Essay (EE) are the three fundamental core subjects that make up the program’s six program groups.

Key Learning Areas –

  • It uses both internal and external assessments to evaluate students’ performance.
  • The curriculum is learner-centred and promotes personal growth. 
  • Students select one out of six subject groups, including Language and Literature, Foreign Languages, Science, Mathematics, and Humanities.
