Results day is always a mix of nerves and anticipation for students, parents, and teachers alike. Every single student who sat the exam walked away with a distinction. That kind of result speaks for itself.

India Sits Up and Takes Notice: CBSE Class 10 Results 2025–26

Across the country, over 24.7 lakh students appeared for the CBSE class 10 results cycle this year, with the results announced on 15 April 2026.

The national pass percentage came in at 93.70%, a marginal but meaningful improvement over last year’s 93.66%. Girls continued their strong showing, recording a pass percentage of 94.99% compared to 92.69% for boys

On a regional level, Bengaluru fared well, posting a pass percentage of 98.91%, well above the national average. More than 55,000 students nationally scored above 95%, while over 2.2 lakh crossed the 90% mark. These are encouraging numbers, and they set a strong backdrop against which OWIS Whitefield’s achievement stands out even more in the broader CBSE results landscape.

What This Means for Our Students and Our Community

For OWIS Whitefield. A result like this carries real significance. As the school moves towards an IB-only continuum, these outcomes reinforce something important: strong academic culture travels across curricula.

The rigour, the teaching practices, and the relationships between students and educators translate regardless of the examination board reflected in the CBSE class 10 results

Here is what this milestone means in practice:

  • Students are stepping into Grade 11 with confidence and a proven track record.
  • Families can see the investment they have made in an OWIS education bearing tangible results.
  • Faculty efforts in building conceptual understanding across subjects have clearly paid off.
  • The school’s commitment to structured academic systems and consistent teaching practices has been validated.

As OWIS Bangalore transitions to the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, this strong academic foundation continues in a more inquiry-driven, globally relevant learning environment. To understand how this journey evolves for students, explore our IB curriculum page.

The IB curriculum is offered across OWIS campuses in Whitefield and Sarjapur, ensuring a consistent and future-focused learning experience.

A New Chapter for CBSE: The Dual-Exam System

This year also marked a significant shift in how CBSE conducts its Class 10 examinations. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the board introduced a two-exam system for the CBSE 10 exam. The first exam ran from February to March 2026, and a second optional sitting is scheduled for May 2026.

Students who want to improve their scores in up to three subjects can register for the second exam. Crucially, CBSE takes the best score from the two attempts, so there is no risk in trying.

This reform reduces the all-or-nothing pressure that has long defined board exam season, giving students a genuine second opportunity within the same academic year, and reshaping how future CBSE results may be approached.

A Proud Moment, and a Strong Foundation

To every student who worked hard this year, to every teacher who guided them, and to every family that showed up day after day: this result belongs to all of you. 100% distinction is a milestone worth marking, and it is also a starting point. OWIS Bangalore looks forward to building on this momentum as its students move ahead into new and exciting academic chapters.
