Greetings!
We are excited to announce the OWIS Tsukuba Summer Camp 2026, scheduled from 13th July to 7th August 2026.
This year’s camp offers engaging and enriching experiences for students across different age groups.
Purpose of the Camp
- Build confidence in English communication.
- Provide active, creative, and practical learning opportunities.
- Encourage friendship, collaboration, and participation.
- Create a welcoming and successful experience for all students.
Camp Structure
Block 1 (Weeks 1–2)
Around the World Adventure
Explore global cultures, traditions, games, storytelling, art, music, and exciting country-themed activities.
Block 2 (Weeks 3–4)
Invent, Create & Play
Hands-on innovation, STEM challenges, creative projects, teamwork activities, games, and imagination-driven learning.
Families may enrol in Block 1 only, Block 2 only, or both blocks.
Student Groupings
Early Years: ECE – Kindergarten
Lower Primary: Grades 1–3
Upper Primary: Grades 4–6
Primary English Grouping: Beginner English / Higher English
Early Years English remains separate.

OWIS Tsukuba Summer Camp Dates, Times, & Details:
Dates: July 13th to August 7th (four weeks)
Arrival time: Drop your child off between 8:30 and 8:45 for a 9:00 am start each day
Pick-up time: 15:00
Eligibility: Anyone aged 3-12 ( you do not have to be an OWIS student).
🚗 No school bus: The OWIS School bus service is not available during the summer camp period. Families must
arrange their own daily transportation to and from the campus.
🏨 No lodgings: This is a day-only summer programme where students attend daily. There is no overnight or boarding component included.

Gala Day and Family BBQ:
The camp culminates in a spectacular Gala Day on the final Friday of Week 4, featuring sports competitions and performances that highlight the skills developed throughout the camp. This day includes a lunchtime family BBQ, celebrating the campers’ achievements and fostering community spirit. Regardless of how many or which weeks your child participates, everyone is encouraged to join us for Gala Day on the final Friday if they are available. This is a wonderful opportunity for all campers to celebrate together and for families to see the culmination of the summer’s activities.

Weekly excursions will take campers to exciting local destinations, such as trampoline parks, amusement parks, forest adventures, water parks, animal farms, and Interactive Science centres and more! Enhancing the week’s theme with real-world experiences.

Each year, we bring in local and national special guests to educate and entertain campers. From hip-hop dance instructors to theatrical mimes, magicians, and poi performers, we are dedicated to providing amazing experiences led by seasoned professionals.

Sports and Team Activities!
Each week includes a mix of sports like soccer, futsal, and basketball, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.

Creative Workshops!
Campers will explore their artistic side with various workshops, including tie-dye, pottery, and mural painting. These activities encourage self-expression and creativity.

Swimming Fun!
Beat the summer heat with our pool activities! Our rooftop swimming pool will be the centrepiece of water-based fun and games, ensuring everyone stays cool while having a blast.

Immersive English Environment & International Teachers
At our summer camp, students immerse themselves in an English-speaking environment facilitated by international teachers, which enhances language fluency and cultural understanding. This immersive experience boosts English skills and exposes campers to global perspectives, preparing them for future international interactions.

Gala Day
Our camp concludes with a spectacular Gala Day, where campers showcase their skills and compete in various sports. The day ends with a family BBQ and performances, celebrating the achievements and memories of the past four weeks.
