At OWIS Osaka, we offer a host of programmes to assist requiring students in strengthen their English skills.
Our comprehensive Academic English Preparation (AEP) classes are designed to bolster non-native speakers’ English proficiency, ensuring they can fully participate in an English-speaking educational environment. AEP classes are divided into three progressive levels to accelerate our students’ English language acquisition, provide a strong English language foundation, foundation, and integrate seamlessly into mainstream classes.
Our April Transition Programmes, Afterschool Intensive English Club, and immersive English environment, all provide additional English language support to OWIS students.

After-School, Clubs, Extracurricular, & Seasonal (ACES) Programmes
At OWIS Osaka, our ACES programmes are open to everyone. These programmes provide students with opportunities to explore interests, develop new skills, and build confidence in a supportive and engaging environment.
Our after-school clubs and extracurriculars include competitive sports, creative and performing arts, and enrichment programmes such as Intensive English and chess club, supporting students’ confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
Our seasonal camps offer themed, hands-on programmes during Summer and Winter holidays, combining learning, creativity, and play to keep students engaged while building confidence, curiosity, and new friendships.

Introducing Mr. Robert Marvin, our Head of Mathematics and MYP Coordinator for OWIS Osaka Secondary School! ✨
This year marks the launch of our full-fledged Middle School, and Mr. Marvin plays a crucial role in supporting the transition from PYP to MYP 👨🏫
*PYP and MYP are two educational programmes offered by the International Baccalaureate.
The PYP (Primary Years Programme) is designed for children aged 3 to 12, while the MYP (Middle Years Programme) is aimed at those aged 11 to 16.
Mr. Marvin`s greatest joy comes from witnessing "student collaboration" – seeing students try things for themselves, ask each other questions, and only then approach him afterwards💡
That moment when the proverbial `light bulb` goes off in a student`s mind brings him immense excitement!
He feels truly happy to be a part of the students learning process and learns a great deal from them in return 😊🌱
*One World International School Osaka is an IB candidate school for the PYP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

Mr. Jason believes that students learn not only from their teachers but also from each other and through their own discoveries. He sees this as the true essence of an IB education 💡
In his class, students create their own projects based on inquiries guided by their teachers.
Through these projects, they develop not only core English skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—but also crucial teamwork abilities like negotiation, discussion, and presentation!
There are also interactions with students from different grades, and these opportunities greatly foster collaboration and growth 🪐
An environment where students of different ages can inspire and grow together is truly unique to OWIS Osaka 🌱

Let us introduce Mr Chris Zocanno, our Music Teacher at OWIS Osaka ✨
This year, our students have once again embraced a wide variety of challenges in their music lessons. Over the summer, they had the incredible opportunity to sing alongside opera singers at the Italian Pavilion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo!
In their music lessons, students are also exploring a range of instruments, including guitars, ukuleles, marimbas, and electronic drums. Some students even bring their own violins to play 🎻🥁
Additionally, they have been working on composing songs themed around “friendship” and “community.” These wonderful creations have been shared with parents, who have expressed delight in seeing the children’s growth.
At OWIS Osaka, we provide diverse experiences and opportunities for expression through music 🎶

This year, our students have once again embraced a wide variety of challenges in their music lessons. Over the summer, they had the incredible opportunity to sing alongside opera singers at the Italian Pavilion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo!
In their music lessons, students are also exploring a range of instruments, including guitars, ukuleles, marimbas, and electronic drums. Some students even bring their own violins to play 🎻🥁
Additionally, they have been working on composing songs themed around “friendship” and “community.” These wonderful creations have been shared with parents, who have expressed delight in seeing the children’s growth.

まず、今夏には大阪・関西万博のイタリア館で、オペラ歌手と一緒に歌うという素晴らしい経験をしました！

We are registered provider under the Japanese Government`s `Free Childcare and Child Education Subsidy.` A straightforward application is all that is required to substantially lower the cost of your child`s education.

Miss Danny’s class is made up of children aged 4 to 5, who enjoy learning a variety of subjects every day. In their current unit, “Who We Are,” they are exploring topics about their families and themselves in depth.
The children especially love English and Maths, and they absolutely enjoy singing together as a class 🎶
The class is also supported by the amazing Miss Mariko and Miss Miko. Working alongside them, Miss Danny provides full support for the children’s learning and development 🌱✨

Grade 2 students reflected on bullying and created video skits filled with their own messages 🎥
The finished videos were screened in the Black Box Theatre, where we held a viewing session together.
It wasn’t just about watching — students exchanged feedback, learnt, and grew together through roleplay and real life reenactments.
Students seriously exchanged opinions on each other`s work, saying things like, "This was great!" and "Here is how it could be improved." 💡
Through this video project, they learnt to face a difficult topic, express themselves, and the importance of sharing feedback with their friends.

グレード2の生徒たちは、いじめについて考え、メッセージを込めたビデオスキットを制作しました🎥
完成した動画はブラックボックス・シアターで上映され、みんなで鑑賞会を行いました。
ただ見るだけでなく、生徒たちはロールプレイや実際の再現活動を通じて意見を交換し、学び合い、共に成長しました。
「ここが良かった！」「こうすればもっと良くなるね」と、生徒たちは互いの作品について真剣に意見を出し合いました💡
今回の動画制作を通して難しいテーマと向き合い、そして自分で表現すること、友達に意見を伝える大切さを学びました。
