In which year and grade level did you start at OWIS Nanyang?
2019 in Grade 9
What has been the highlight of your student life at OWIS?
The highlight of my student life at OWIS was meeting all of my friends here
and getting to experience my high school years with people I will never forget.
What do you think will be your fondest memory of the school?
I think the fondest memory of the school I have will be the friends I’ve made.
Despite all the struggles academics-wise, I was able to find people who I could rely on to be there for me.
Do you have a favourite teacher at OWIS for whom you would like to share a few words of appreciation?
I think Ms. Roy has steadily become a teacher who has greatly impacted my academic life. She was my teacher from Grade 9 in two subjects, Geography and Global Perspectives (GP), so I spent a lot of time with her. After that, at the end of DP Year 2, she also helped me a lot in terms of motivating me to push through the course. I hope she knows how thankful I am for all her support and her work in OWIS throughout all the years. She is an immensely hardworking individual and I hope she continues to find happiness in the future.
As you enter the next phase of your life, what would you take forward from your time here at OWIS?
I will take forward my learning from the mistakes I made in my bad time-management and improve on that aspect of myself for future endeavours. I also learned to be more outgoing and not be as afraid of other people as I was before.
What are your plans after OWIS?
I am planning to study further in tertiary education overseas. Funnily enough, the teachers I’ve met at OWIS have inspired me to take on teaching after college/university, so that is one thing that excites me. Another thing that excites me is pursuing my hobbies as well.
