🎭✨How many ways can you express yourself?
At the Grade 5 Unit Share, students brought How We Express Ourselves to life through the performing arts and what a showcase it was! We saw everything from K-pop dance and Indian classical dance to shadow puppetry, miming, drama, song, music performances, and even a Star Wars–themed fight choreography.
Through movement, music, voice, and imagination, our learners showed that self-expression has no single form — only creativity, confidence, and courage. Good job Grade 5s!

From first words to confident 🎤 voices — hear it straight from our graduating Academic English Prep Programme (AEPP) students!
In this video, two AEPP graduating students reflect on their journey, alongside a foreword from our AEPP Coordinator Ms. Melissa Tolomeo, who has guided and supported them every step of the way.

This year marks a major milestone for AEPP at OWIS Nanyang. 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟔–𝟖 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭, confidently transitioning into mainstream learning. In Grade 8 alone, 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝟗 𝐢𝐧 𝟏𝟎 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐀𝐋 (English as an Additional Lang), while across the cohort, 𝟓𝟕% 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐄𝐏𝐏.
What does this really mean? It means students who once needed additional language support are now participating, learning, and expressing themselves independently, academically and socially.
We’re incredibly proud of our students, teachers, and families for making this achievement possible. Here’s to confidence built, barriers broken, and the next chapter ahead.

The force is with you... Or at least all around you as our Grade 4s discovered and shared their learnings on forces!
From Plinko machines and paper plane launchers to balloon activities exploring static forces and even catapult basketball, our Grade 4 students put forces into action during their Unit Share. They demonstrated a deep understanding of pushes, pulls, gravity, and resistance. Learning came to life as students explained their thinking, tested ideas, and proudly shared how forces work all around us.

🦒 What happens when classroom learning steps into the wild?
As part of our inquiry into “Sharing Our Planet,” our EC students headed to Mandai Wildlife Reserve to bring their learning to life 🌏🐢 Through close observation and thoughtful discussions, they explored how animals depend on their environments and how our actions can help keep those environments safe and healthy.
