Learning Approach - OWIS
OWIS - teaching and learning approach

The IB Learner Profile is at the heart of our school’s philosophy

As an IB World School, we nurture the attributes of the IB Learner Profile through our teaching and learning approach as well as our pastoral care programme. Through this dual approach, students learn the importance of becoming responsible young people and they feel motivated to pursue knowledge with enthusiasm and curiosity.

We emphasise holistic development and student well-being

While academics and the application of concepts into practice are extremely important, we also value holistic development for our students. The school day at OWIS Nanyang  is engaging and enables students to develop different skills and interests. Our time-tables across Early Childhood, Primary School and Secondary School strike a balance between academics and digital learning, outdoor learning, Art, Music, Physical Education and PSPE / PSHE. Further, our Pastoral Care Programme prepares our educators to look out for students and ensure their well-being.
