What OWIS parents and students say

Janelle R., IBDP Batch of 2021
My teachers were incredibly supportive of me and my classmates when doing IB and some really went out of their way to help us as much as they could, which I appreciated so much.

Adeliya F., IBDP Batch of 2023
At OWIS, I've learnt a lot about communication, and how it's important to be proactive, not reactive. I've also learnt that kindness and empathy are key in leadership and collaborative work.

Christina O.
I like that technology plays enough of a part within my children's studies but does not dominate basic skills towards literacy with reading, writing and presentation. There is very much a balance.

More photos taken on 10 June 2026 at OWIS Nanyang- EC3 and G5 Graduation Post 2! 👩🎓👨🎓👨🏻🎓👩🏾🎓🎓🎓🎓
Along with the joy and pride 🥹😄 felt throughout the ceremony, there was also sense of excited trepidation – these young graduates would be stepping into roles that require greater self-responsibility, an active curiosity about the world around them, and a willingness to understand and accept complex concepts.
Well, it is a good thing that the OWIS kindness-led and inquiry-led educational approaches have prepared these future leaders to tackle these challenges head on withe empathy and open-mindedness.
Remember OWIS students, it`s alright (natural even) to be apprehensive about the future – remind yourselves that if you`ve made it to this milestone, your experiences and key learnings [both gained and future ones] will fortify you for the journey ahead!
✊💪🫶
But in the meantime, remember to enjoy the holiday break! 😎😎😎

FINAL DAY OF SPIRIT WEEK – AND THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!👻😇🎉😭
The OWIS Otters showed us their school spirit!
As part of the final festivities, our Grade 6–9 students put on an ultimate Showstopper Presentation!
Having spent the last few days unleashing their inner designers, and having been given complete creative freedom and resources, they built custom class mascots completely from scratch.
From bold themes to incredible craftsmanship, the Multi-Purpose Hall was buzzing with energy as each class representative took the stage to share the inspiration behind their unique designs.
Huge congratulations to all the students for their phenomenal teamwork, and a massive thank you to our judges and teachers for supporting this creative journey! What a way to send off our OWIS students!

5 June 2026 – OWIS Nanyang executed its highly anticipated TOK Exhibition! 🎉
During the exhibition, our IBDP Grade 11 students showcased how deeply connected to the world knowledge can be – through real objects, experiences, and issues that matter to them. Their presentations showcased the students` deep curiosity and long-honed critical-thinking skills – a testament to the kindness-led and inquiry-led learning methods imparted since the primary grades.
We also celebrated the first graduate cohort of educators who completed the GSG Knowledge Facilitator Training Programme – further proof of OWIS`s commitment towards mastering inquiry-based learning and fostering meaningful discussions in the classroom.
OWIS`s TOK Exhibition establishes how learning is about more than just finding the right answer— it`s about asking thoughtful questions, exploring different perspectives, and growing together as a community of empathetic life-long learners. 🌍✨

Day 2 of TOKx at OWIS Nanyang challenged our Grade 11 students to look beyond easy answers and first impressions.
Yesterday, across four thought-provoking talks, students explored how ethics, responsibility, identity, leadership, uncertainty, and personal experiences shape the way we understand the world. Through real-life stories and reflections, they were encouraged to question assumptions, embrace complexity, and recognise that growth often comes from discomfort, mistakes, and seeing things from a different perspective.
As students prepared for their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition, TOKx continues to nurture curious, reflective, and open-minded learners who are ready to engage thoughtfully with the world around them. 🌍✨

Learning a language is about more than speaking it—it is about understanding the people, cultures, and perspectives behind it. 🇪🇸🎨
Last Friday, our G11 Spanish Ab Initio IBDP students stepped into the world of Colombian artist Fernando Botero at Botero: A Life in Fullness at Gardens by the Bay.
Through immersive exhibits and visual storytelling, students gained a deeper appreciation of Hispanic culture and Latin American artistic expression, strengthening the intercultural awareness that lies at the heart of a global education, like the one we have at OWIS!

TOK Talks Day 1!🤔🤔🤔💡💡
On the evening of 3 June 2026, secondary school students at OWIS Nanyang were treated to four sessions featuring experts speaking on various topics linking to knowledge about the world.
Topics of discussion included how to turn theoretical knowledge into practice, understanding perspectives to get to the truth, facing challenges when sharing knowledge across cultures, and the importance of questioning experience vs expertise when tackling important life decisions.
These sessions were the first batch of talks leading up to the Theory of Knowledge Exhibition taking place this Friday [5 June] – a reflection of how OWIS prides itself on critical-thinking and future-forward analysis beyond the standard classroom education!
