Our recent Primary Back to School Night at One World International School (OWIS) Digital Campus* was an incredible success, and we are truly grateful to our esteemed founding parents for their enthusiastic participation. This exclusive event has now become a cherished tradition in our school calendar, embodying our commitment to nurturing strong partnerships between parents and teachers.
Parents had the invaluable opportunity to meet their children’s teachers, gaining insights into their teaching philosophies and curriculum plans. They also explored the diverse range of academic and upcoming co-curricular activities offered, discovered effective ways to support their child’s learning journey at home, and fostered meaningful connections with fellow parents.
Key moments from the event included:
- Warm Welcome: The evening started with Mrs Angela Henderson, Principal of Lower School, providing a comprehensive overview of OWIS Digital Campus, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
- Classroom Tours: Parents got an opportunity to experience their child’s classroom environment, getting a firsthand sense of the space where their child learns.
- Teacher Introductions: This allows parents to meet the educators responsible for their child’s academic journey. Teachers shared their backgrounds, teaching philosophies, and what they were most excited about for the upcoming year.
- Thoughtful Notes: Parents expressed their love and support by writing encouraging notes to their children.
- Informative Booth Setups: Designed to acquaint parents with the various programmes and activities available for each grade level that we offer.
- Parents Community Building: Beyond the presentations, there were many moments for our founding parents to mingle, fostering a sense of community
