Last year in March 2023, Aditya was part of the winning U-19 basketball team that won first place in their division in ACSIS competitions. This year, he is the captain of the team. We caught up with him to ask him about his experience.
What has been the highlight of the ACSIS sports season / competitions for you?
Despite our recent challenges, the highlight of the ACSIS sports season for me has been the unwavering optimism and camaraderie within our basketball team. While we may have faced setbacks with three consecutive losses, the team spirit and determination to improve have been remarkable. These experiences have taught us valuable lessons about resilience and the importance of staying positive even in the face of adversity.
Has being a part of this team and the competitions improved your overall learning experience at OWIS?
Being a part of this team and participating in the competitions has indeed enriched my overall learning experience at OWIS. The ups and downs of the season have not only improved my physical skills on the basketball court but have also contributed to my personal growth. I’ve learned the significance of teamwork, effective communication, and how to handle both success and disappointment gracefully.
How has the training and preparation experience been?
The training and preparation experience have been intense but extremely rewarding. Our coaching staff has been incredibly supportive, pushing us to give our best in every practice session. Despite the recent losses, we are determined to learn from our mistakes and work even harder to improve. The challenges we’ve faced have brought us closer as a team, fostering a sense of unity and shared goals.
