Exploring Peranakan Heritage: A Cultural Odyssey with Grade 4

Embarking on a captivating field trip, our Grade 4 at One World International School (OWIS) Digital Campus* students recently delved into the fascinating world of Peranakan culture at the Peranakan Museum. The immersive experience unfolded a rich tapestry of traditions, inviting our learners to explore customs, cuisines, languages, and beliefs that form the Peranakan heritage.

As our students explored the museum’s exhibits, they experienced a rich sensory journey, discovering the vibrant aesthetics that characterize Peranakan communities. From the detailed traditional attire to the immersive cultural elements, every aspect of this exploration left a lasting impression on their young minds.

This educational tour not only broadened their understanding of cultural diversity but also ignited a profound appreciation for the interconnectedness of traditions that shape our global community.
