Grade 2 students at OWIS Suntec join the dots through their exploration of art

This week, our Primary School Grade 2 students learned about Indigenous Australian art as well as Yayoi Kusuma’s art. And did you know that something they had in common, despite the 30,000 years of history between them, was their use of dots? The former liked to paint on and use natural materials, whilst the latter enjoyed the use of colours. After completing reading as a class and a rotating Think-Pair-Share to discuss what they had read about and their opinions, they combined their knowledge of the two, going outdoors to collect rocks before painting them using the dot painting technique.
