One World, Many Journeys Stories: Yungwon, IBDP 2026 Graduand
Discover Yungwon’s journey at OWIS Nanyang—from learning English in Grade 5 to becoming a confident IBDP graduate shaped by friendship and growth.
At the end of the school year, our OWIS Suntec students visited the East Coast Park and undertook a beach clean-up. It was a wonderful idea inspired by a few of our students at Suntec and everyone in the Suntec community got involved.
The older Grade 4 / 5 students led the way for the others, venturing out in the rain and proclaiming, “This is SO fun!” as they picked up litter up and down the coast. Some of the items were: a dead crab, flipflop, cigarette butts, so many plastic bottles, straws, Styrofoam, yogurt cups, etc.
The students lunched and snacked under the shelter and then headed back out for more picking. A commendable effort from all our students!
