Interesting activities for our Early Childhood learners based on ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’

Recently, our students in Early Childhood 2 at OWIS Nanyang read the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. This delightful children’s book lends itself to a variety of engaging, hands-on activities, as our young learners found out to their enjoyment.

Some of the activities they engaged in involved sequencing, learning about patterns, practising writing sight words and giving thought to the food they would want the caterpillar to eat.

Through these different activities, our learners enhanced their knowledge of different concepts through transdisciplinary learning and honed their social, thinking, creative, and fine motor skills as well!
