Celebrating our IBDP Batch of 2025: Megan P.

What does it take to succeed in the IB Diploma Programme? Every student’s journey is unique, filled with academic learning, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. At OWIS Nanyang, we provide a nurturing and future-focussed learning environment that helps students excel.

But don’t just take our word for it! We asked our IBDP students to share their thoughts on what made their time at OWIS special. Read on to learn firsthand what Megan from our graduating batch of 2025 has to say.

In which grade level did you start at OWIS?
I started at OWIS five years ago in Grade 7.
What has been the highlight of your student life at OWIS?
The highlight of my student life at OWIS is the friends that I have made and the life long connections that we have formed.
What do you think will be your fondest memory of the school?
My fondest memory of school was meeting my life long friend who is someone that I will never forget and cherish forever.
Do you have a favourite teacher at OWIS for whom you would like to share a few words of appreciation?
My favourite teacher at OWIS is Ms Zareefi. I have only known her for two years but she has made such a positive impact on my life. No matter the lesson or the day, she always manages to make people laugh. She takes the time to get to know each and every student and makes them feel special. Her class is a great environment to be in that we all look forward to.
As you enter the next phase of your life, what would you take forward from your time here at OWIS?
As I enter the next phase of my life, I will use the time management skills that OWIS taught me. OWIS, especially the IB programme, has taught me the importance of time management and how important it is.
What are your plans after OWIS?
After OWIS, I intend to go to university for acting or film studies. I’m excited to meet new people who share the same passion as me and hope to use my skills learned in OWIS towards this.
We’re excited to see your achievements, Megan. We wish you all the very best!
