This year, we are incredibly proud to shine a spotlight on Mayukh, our graduate from the IB Diploma Programme at OWIS Nanyang, who achieved a perfect score of 45 out of 45 in the 2024 examinations. In an effort to inspire others and as good things are meant to be shared, we conducted an exclusive video interview with him.
During the interview, Mayukh emphasised the importance of internalising concepts while studying, time management and participating in various school events. Reflecting on his journey at OWIS, he shared, “My most significant lesson here in OWIS is the idea of being more social and being better at networking. Through all the events at OWIS which I participated in, I’ve really improved my social skills and interpersonal skills which I’m really grateful for. It would definitely help me in college.”
As we proudly celebrate Mayukh’s achievement, we hope his story motivates more students to aim high, stay determined, and believe in their ability to succeed. Mayukh himself finds inspiration in the quote, “If not for the harshness of winter, how can we look forward to spring?” Like the harshness of winter, there will certainly be adversities and moments of doubt in all our lives. However, much like the flowers of spring under the sun, it is precisely these challenges that will push one to blossom and bask in hard-won and well-deserved success. Congratulations once again to Mayukh! We look forward to seeing all that he will continue to achieve, as the limitless learning definitely extends beyond the gates of OWIS Nanyang.
