At OWIS Nanyang, our IBDP is a transformative two-year journey that shapes our students into confident and compassionate global citizens. From mastering time management to building unshakable resilience, our students leave with skills that go far beyond the classroom.
But do not just take our word for it, read for yourself what our recent graduates have to say about their IB experience at OWIS!
Learning to Thrive Under Pressure
For Joseph H., the IBDP was a masterclass in staying calm and focused, even when deadlines loomed large.
“The IBDP taught me how to stay resilient and push through even when facing intense deadlines. Learning to manage my time, stay organised and work well under pressure is an indispensable skill in the real world,” he shares.
Joseph credits our Head of School, Mr James Sweeney for encouraging students to strive for their best academic performance, and the IBDP Coordinator, Ms Sanhita Roy for providing workshops and guidance that made even the most daunting tasks feel achievable.
Support That Makes a Difference
For Shaarav S., our valedictorian, his IBDP journey was defined by the people who believed in him every step of the way.
“Whenever I felt lost or uncertain, you were the one who helped me believe in myself again,” he says of a teacher who offered quiet encouragement and heartfelt guidance.
Now accepted into Singapore Management University (SMU), Shaarav reflects on those post-lunch chats with gratitude, knowing that the kindness and support he received played a big part in his success.
A Second Home for Learning
Ryan Aiman A.H. describes his IB Diploma journey as “tough but truly rewarding,” thanks to the incredible support network at OWIS.
“With Ms Sanhita Roy as IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, and Mr James Sweeney as Head of School, their constant push to thrive, combined with the dedication of my teachers and friends, transformed OWIS into a second home,” he recalls.
For Ryan, the challenges he faced turned into opportunities making learning both meaningful and fun.
Growing Through Values
For Ananya S, the IB experience at OWIS was more than academics. It was also about becoming a better person.
“OWIS has helped me grow both academically and personally through its supportive and inclusive community. The teachers have been encouraging, pushing me to do my best and believe in myself. I’ve learned values like respect, kindness, and open-mindedness that will stay with me beyond school. I am grateful to have been part of such a positive environment,” she shares.
The OWIS Difference
The OWIS Nanyang IB Diploma Programme is about preparing students to excel in a constantly changing world. We take pride in teaching students not just what to learn, but how to learn. We equip them with the curiosity, critical thinking skills, and self-motivation they need to explore new ideas and adapt to challenges.
Our small class sizes, personalised guidance, and supportive environment allow every student to feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether it’s tackling Theory of Knowledge questions, collaborating on CAS projects, or preparing for university applications, our students know they have a team behind them supporting and cheering them on.
We are a community that fosters resilience, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
