One World International School (OWIS) Nanyang’s Grade 12 IBDP students hosted an inspiring exhibition as part of the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) curriculum, exploring the question: What is Knowledge? Students presented diverse projects, delving into questions such as, “How can we distinguish between knowledge, belief and opinion”, “Does our knowledge depend on our interaction with other knowers?” and many more. From debates on scientific versus artistic knowledge to interactive exhibits exploring cultural biases, their work sparked deep discussions and broadened perspectives.
This experience was particularly enriching for our IB students, who applied critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning in a real-world context. The TOK exhibition embodied the IB approach by challenging students to reflect, engage with diverse viewpoints, and articulate complex ideas thoughtfully and confidently.
In all, the event showcased OWIS’s commitment to nurturing lifelong learners and thoughtful global citizens, reminding everyone that true knowledge is about asking questions, exploring perspectives, and embracing the journey of learning.
