We are delighted to announce that One World International School (OWIS) Digital Campus has achieved accreditation for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). This accreditation as an IB World School providing the PYP underscores our school’s commitment to providing young learners with a high-quality, inquiry-based education.
IB PYP emphasises an inquiry-based transdisciplinary curriculum that develops students as active learners and responsible members of their communities. The framework promotes student agency, encouraging children to take ownership of their learning and collaborate with teachers. It also focuses on building a strong learning community and fostering self-efficacy. The curriculum’s structure is guided by six transdisciplinary themes, helping students connect knowledge and skills across subject areas.
In Early Childhood and Primary School, the IB PYP timetable at OWIS Digital Campus balances English, Maths, Science, Social Studies and Language Acquisition as well as the Units of Inquiry (UOIs). UOIs integrate various subjects, allowing children to explore themes like “How the World Works” and “How We See Ourselves” through hands-on learning. The schedule also includes physical education, drama, music, arts and other activities, ensuring a well-rounded education that supports academic and personal growth.
