An interesting mixture of theory and practicum in Grade 7’s Science lesson

Our Grade 7 students have been learning the difference between elements, compounds, and mixtures and building models of states of matter. To understand the difference in composition between pure substances and mixtures, they engaged in a fun science activity using gummy bears.

Additionally, they gained practical experience in successfully handling different laboratory equipment for separating the mixture using magnetic separation, filtration, evaporation, distillation and chromatography.
