In this new series, we celebrate the graduands who will be completing our IB Diploma Programme in 2023. As they prepare for the next stage of their lives, they shared the highlights of their experience here at One World International School Nanyang Campus.

In which grade level did you start at OWIS Nanyang?
Grade 7
What has been the highlight of your student life at OWIS?
All the opportunities I have had to organise events and be part of something greater than just myself. OWIS has pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to have experiences I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
What do you think will be your fondest memory of the school?
All the moments I have spent with my friends, who I would now consider family.
Do you have a favourite teacher at OWIS for whom you would like to share a few words of appreciation?
Ms Sanhita Roy. She has been my teacher since IGCSE and in now also my IB DP coordinator. She has been one of the highlights of my entire IB DP journey and has supported us throughout. Without her, my senior year would have not been the same and I am very grateful to have her as our coordinator.
As you enter the next phase of your life, what would you take forward from your time here at OWIS?
I have grown so much as a person in OWIS, one of the reasons being that I was able to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures and learn more about the world. OWIS taught me how to be reflective and a risk-taker, which I consider to be a very crucial traits.
What excites you about life after OWIS?
I plan on going to university to study Computer Science. Though the idea of my life after school is exciting, I also feel change is scary. However, it’s a new chapter of my life with new people, experiences and places that I am looking forward to.
