Celebrating our IB DP Batch of 2023: Stasia D.

In this new series, we celebrate the graduands who will be completing our IB Diploma Programme in 2023. As they prepare for the next stage of their lives, they shared the highlights of their experience here at One World International School Nanyang Campus.

Name:

Stasia D.

In which grade level did you start at OWIS Nanyang?

Grade 8 in 2018

What has been the highlight of your student life at OWIS?

The highlight of my student life here at OWIS would be just growing up with all my friends and watching all of us change into better people and making so many memories along the way.

What do you think will be your fondest memory of the school?

My fondest memory would be during IB DP Year 1 where my grade performed dances for an International Day assembly. Working together and practising with my class was always so funny and exciting and is something I will never forget.

Do you have a favourite teacher at OWIS for whom you would like to share a few words of appreciation?

One teacher that has helped not only me but our grade as a whole is Ms Roy. She continued to motivate and push us every day even through the rough patches of the IB Diploma Programme. We will forever be grateful to her. Another teacher that I would like to mention is Ms Paramsheel. Her hard work and dedication to teach us was inspiring and there was never a dull Maths lesson.

As you enter the next phase of your life, what would you take forward from your time here at OWIS?

One of the many things that OWIS has taught me is how to collaborate and work with my peers in a kind manner and this has prepped me a lot for life after school.

What excites you about life after OWIS?

After OWIS, I plan to continue my higher studies for around 4 more years. What excites me about life after school Is being surrounded in a new environment where I will meet new people and make more memories.

Stasia, our heartiest congratulations on everything you have achieved so far and our best wishes for the future!
