Celebrating our IB DP Batch of 2023: Yashodhan V.

In this new series, we celebrate the graduands who will be completing our IB Diploma Programme in 2023. As they prepare for the next stage of their lives, they shared the highlights of their experience here at One World International School Nanyang Campus.

In which grade level did you start at OWIS Nanyang? 

Grade 8 in 2019

What has been the highlight of your student life at OWIS?

The highlight of my student life in OWIS has to be the good times that I have had with my friends and teachers. This includes events, such as Christmas, CNY, last days of school and more.

What do you think will be your fondest memory of the school?

I will always remember the time I got elected as a member of the student council and our dinner and dance, and I am looking forward to the upcoming graduation celebration.

Do you have a favourite teacher at OWIS for whom you would like to share a few words of appreciation? 

I appreciate all my teachers but my favourite would be Ms Roy, who has been supporting me since Grade 9 as my Global Perspectives teacher. She is currently the IB DP Coordinator and has made the programme less stressful for myself and my peers.

As you enter the next phase of your life, what would you take forward from your time here at OWIS?

OWIS has highlighted the importance of kindness and being open-minded, which is something I will always take forward with me wherever I go.

What excites you about life after OWIS? 

I will be attending the University of British Columbia for a Bachelor of Arts degree. I am looking forward to moving to another country and making new friends.
