OWIS Suntec Launch Week

After much anticipation, OWIS Suntec opened its doors to students aged 3 to 11 years old on 23rd August, 2021, for the new academic year. Students have been enormously enjoying the settling-in routine, getting familiar with the new environment, and getting to know their new class friends and teachers.

While the start of the OWIS school year is always an easy time of transition, there is just a little bit of serious business as well. At our Suntec campus, Primary students from Grades 1 to 5 learned about the essential behaviour agreement, which is based on our core values of kindness, international mindedness and respect for diversity and acts as a guideline for the choices they make during the year. Our younger Early Childhood students were busy creating kindness-inspired artwork to decorate our Kindness Trees, which will act as a reminder to always act with kindness.

OWIS Suntec students had the opportunity to explore the play areas and discovery zones within the plush indoor learning environment. Every grade had allocated time to step outdoors into the sky garden for some fresh air, interactive time with their friends, socially-distanced outdoor learning and games, and tranquil reading time.

The second week onwards, students will embark on their learning journeys, which will be play-based for the younger students and inquiry-led for the older ones. The balanced curriculum will spark students’ interest in different subjects and disciplines, and our talented team of educators is excited to guide them to meaningful learning outcomes throughout the year.
