Grade 6 students at OWIS Suntec put theory into practice for their Mandarin lesson

Our Grade 6 primary school students at OWIS Suntec have been learning/revising pinyin (Chinese phonetics) for the past weeks to build up on their foundation in order to help them with conversational Mandarin and Chinese characters.

To put their knowledge into practice, the students went to Suntec mall to search for Chinese restaurants and eateries. They identified the Chinese characters in the names of the restaurants and used their iPads to look for the pinyin and meaning of the Chinese characters.
