On a memorable day after their examinations in May, the 2025 cohort of the IB Diploma Programme gathered for their Graduation Ceremony at One World International School Nanyang.
The event kicked off with our annual tradition, the school-wide clap. Proudly dressed in black gowns with blue stoles, our graduating students walked the corridors of their school for the last time with the entire school cheering them on.
The applause continued as they crossed the stage one by one to receive their diplomas later.

At OWIS, we don’t just mark academic milestones. We celebrate kindness, diversity and the courage to think differently. The IB Diploma Programme has been their arena where intellect meets ethics and challenges forge character. Just like in every story of growth, our graduates emerged as wiser global citizens.
“Your paths may differ but the foundation you take with you is the same. When people ask me what OWIS students are like, I start with a simple message: They are nice. It might sound underwhelming but I mean it in the strongest possible sense. They are kind to each other, they look out for their classmates and they build relationships within the wider community,” said James Sweeney, our Head of School in his speech.
Here’s to the teachers who never stopped believing, the classmates who became chosen family and the OWIS community who accompanied their journey. As the tassels were turned and caps tossed upward, together, we celebrated all the possibilities their future will bring and the hard work they have put in.
To our graduates: the world may not always be easy but you carry with you the skills, compassion and clarity to shape it for the better. You are the authors of your next chapters and we cannot wait to see the stories you will tell.
