One World, Many Journeys Stories: Akshat & Aaditya, IBDP 2026 Graduands

From shy beginnings to confident graduates, brothers Akshat and Aaditya’s journey at OWIS Nanyang Campus is a story of growth, friendship, and belonging.

Having joined in Grade 5, the transition wasn’t easy—especially being placed in separate classes for the first time. For one, it meant navigating a new environment alone, surrounded by unfamiliar faces from diverse backgrounds. The early days were overwhelming, even emotional. But over time, with the support of kind teachers and welcoming classmates, that uncertainty turned into confidence. Today, what began with hesitation has evolved into strong friendships and an outgoing, self-assured personality.

School life, as they recall, is filled with countless memories—some funny, some meaningful, all unforgettable. From lively science classes where laughter and learning went hand in hand to quickly abandoning traditional outfits during International Day in the Singapore heat, these moments shaped their experience. Spaces like the study hall and familiar school corridors now carry a sense of nostalgia, reminding them of friendships formed and milestones achieved.

Central to their journey has been the impact of teachers. Whether it was guidance during moments of academic burnout or consistent encouragement to strive for excellence, their teachers played a pivotal role. More than educators, they became mentors and trusted figures—people who noticed when something was wrong and took the time to care. These relationships made school feel like more than just a place of learning.

Now, as they graduate from Grade 12 and the IBDP, their story reflects what One World International School stands for: a place where every student’s journey is unique, yet deeply connected. A place where students don’t just grow academically, but are nurtured into confident individuals who are ready for what comes next.
