Looking back, Tapasmita remembers the simple joys of her early years at OWIS. With smaller class sizes, students often spent break times together, playing games and building friendships that would last long after primary school. Those connections remain an important part of her school journey and have helped shape the person she is today.

One of the biggest influences on her development has been the encouragement she received from teachers who challenged her to think differently. In particular, she credits her former Grade 5 teacher, Mr Adrian Deller (who now heads Early Childhood and Primary at OWIS Digital Campus), with helping her become more open-minded and curious about the world around her. That mindset has stayed with her and continues to fuel her ambition to pursue a future in science.

Recently, Tapasmita achieved recognition in astronomy and astrophysics, an accomplishment that reflected both her passion and the support of teachers who believed in her potential. Their guidance helped her see that learning is not just about achieving results, but about exploring ideas and pushing boundaries.

Today, as a Grade 11 student preparing for new opportunities, including her goal of becoming Student President, Tapasmita hopes to make a positive impact on those around her. Just a year away from graduation, she wants to be remembered as someone who treated others with kindness, stayed curious, and embraced every opportunity to learn.
