OWIS celebrates student success in the IB DP and Cambridge IGCSE results for 2022

OWIS students have made the school proud with their accomplishments in the Cambridge IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme results for 2022.

In the IGCSE examinations (2022) for Grade 10, 97% of a cohort of 36 students scored A* – C grades, with 58% securing A* – A, and 85% earning A* – B grades.

Our results measure up very well against international trends, with OWIS students outperforming the global average in a wide range of subject areas, including: Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Drama, Spanish, Geography, History, ICT, and Music. Our IB Programme examinations also took place in 2022, for what is our second cohort of students completing this pre-university qualification in Grade 12. Our students scored 34 points on average, with 25% of our students achieving 43-38 grade points. This puts OWIS a point above the global average. We have a 90% pass rate for students taking our IB DP, and are very proud of this achievement.

Congratulating the students on their results, Dr Tracy Ghomashchian, Head of Secondary at OWIS Nanyang, said, “I am delighted with the achievements of our students in the IGCSE and IB DP results for 2022. What has been achieved is a true credit to students and staff, with fortitude and resilience shown in abundance this past school year.”
