OWIS Triumphs: Double Wins at Singapore Education Awards 2024

One World International School (OWIS) has once again earned recognition at the 2024 HoneyKids Singapore Education Awards. We are proud to announce that we have been  awarded the Gold Award for Best New Campus for OWIS Digital Campus and a Silver Award for the Diversity and Inclusive Community category for both our campuses.

The Gold Award for Best New Campus is a powerful acknowledgment of OWIS’ efforts to create a dynamic, future-focussed environment where students thrive. OWIS Digital Campus situated in Punggol provides an array of technology-enhanced amenities, such as interactive classrooms, skill studios, world-class sports facilities and exciting recreational areas. Designed to promote collaboration and creativity within every student, OWIS Digital Campus  ensures an environment that is customised to their needs.

As shared by James Morris, Head of School of OWIS Digital Campus,  “Our state-of-the-art campus was designed with our students at the core. It is an environment that embraces technology but does not lose sight of sustainability. Our attention to natural and controlled lighting and green spaces, both inside and out, enhances the learning experience for all. With this amazing campus, we create an edu-space that invigorates and inspires our students, as they progress on their learning journey.”

The Silver Award for Diversity and Inclusive Community showcases OWIS’s ethos of embracing every culture and promoting kindness at both our Nanyang Campus as well as our new Punggol Campus. In an age where understanding differences is key, OWIS stands as a beacon for finding unity in diversity. Through our teaching and learning approach, robust pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives and vibrant events such as International Day and Kindness Week, the school fosters a deep appreciation for cultural exchanges and diverse perspectives.

James Sweeney, Head of School of OWIS Nanyang, says, “We are a truly diverse school both in our student and staff body, allowing everyone to learn from all the different cultures. It is also a chance to create  our own OWIS culture amongst this diversity, which is led by kindness. Kindness can mean many different things to different people. In OWIS, we define kindness by being respectful, mindful and safe in all our interactions.”

We are grateful to HoneyKids and the jury for these awards. For OWIS, these achievements are not merely accolades; they are symbols of a continued journey to redefine educational excellence.
